Admissions
Welcome to the Admissions page.
If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. It is important to point out that the school does not follow the LA policy in regard to the number of children admitted into each year group. The school policy has a cap placed on numbers allowing only 15 children in each cohort. Applications need to be made to Leicestershire County Council Admissions Department
Appeals
If your child has been refused a school place, you can appeal. If you have applied as part of the normal round of first-time admissions (for children aged 4), and have been refused a school place, you will be automatically placed on the school’s oversubscription (waiting) list. The school does not maintain a waiting list for other age groups.
The position your child will appear on the Oversubscription List will depend on how closely they meet the school’s admissions priority criteria – see our admissions policy above for more details.
If a place becomes available, and your child is at the top of the list, you will be contacted automatically to offer you the place.
Our OSL is maintained by Leicestershire County Council’s School Admissions Service. We also use their appeals service. More information about how to make an appeal can be found at the following web address:
There is a strict timetable for the submission and hearing of appeals. In summary, if you have applied on time for a place in reception next year, you will hear if you have been successful in mid-April. Any appeals should be lodged with Leicestershire County Council according to this timetable. If you are applying for a transfer from another school and your application is unsuccessful, you have 20 school days to lodge an appeal. Full details can be found below:
